WiiM has unveiled its first smart speaker, the Sound, targeting audiophiles with a design reminiscent of Apple's HomePod but enhanced with a unique circular high-resolution touchscreen on its side. This touchscreen enables users to navigate playlists, control playback, select presets, and display album artwork, providing an intuitive and visually engaging user interface.

The Sound speaker incorporates a four-inch woofer paired with dual balanced mode radiator tweeters, delivering over 100 watts of power. It can be configured as a stereo pair for left and right channels, ensuring rich and immersive audio performance. A standout feature is its built-in microphone that measures room acoustics to automatically calibrate sound output, optimizing audio quality for the specific environment. Users can further customize sound with a 10-band equalizer or choose from 24 preset sound profiles.

Connectivity options are robust, featuring Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and an Ethernet port. The speaker supports streaming from over 20 music services and can interface with apps via Chromecast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, DLNA, and Alexa Cast. Hands-free voice control is enabled through Alexa, Google Assistant, or a bundled wireless remote, enhancing user convenience and smart home integration.

To complement the Sound speaker’s audio capabilities, WiiM also introduced the Sub Pro subwoofer. It features an eight-inch driver powered by a Class-D amplifier delivering 250 watts of bass performance. The Sub Pro supports the same connectivity and room calibration features as the Sound speaker, allowing seamless integration into home theater setups. It includes an RCA input for connecting to other home audio equipment, making it versatile for various configurations.

Rounding out the new product lineup is the WiiM Amp Ultra, a refined streaming amplifier housed in a unibody aluminum chassis. It features a 3.5-inch touchscreen and dial controls, audiophile-grade components including an ESS Sabre DAC, and delivers 100 watts per channel to drive up to four passive speakers simultaneously. The Amp Ultra supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for stable high-resolution streaming at 24-bit/192kHz quality and integrates with popular streaming services and voice assistants.

Together, these devices form a comprehensive ecosystem for audiophiles seeking high-fidelity wireless audio solutions with smart features, room-adaptive sound, and multi-device streaming capabilities. WiiM plans to release these products in the third quarter of 2025 through Amazon and select retailers, with pricing details to be announced closer to launch.
