Resurgens Gaming Launches Ghost Launchpad Game Accelerator with Seven-Figure Funding

Resurgens Gaming, a prominent gaming and creator-driven entertainment company, has announced a successful seven-figure funding round to launch Ghost Launchpad, a new game accelerator and publishing division. Although the exact amount was not disclosed, the Series Seed Plus round attracted investors from diverse sectors including video games, sports, music, and entertainment, alongside family offices and funds based in the southeastern United States.

A notable contributor to the round was Invest Georgia, a state-backed long-term investment program, which invested $500,000. Other key investors included Sound Media Ventures, Phoenix Capital Ventures, the family office of Atlanta Hawks All-Star Trae Young, and founders and executives from leading gaming and entertainment companies such as PrizePicks, KontrolFreek, the Recording Academy, and Blue Mammoth Games, a Ubisoft Company.

Todd Harris, CEO of Resurgens, emphasized the strategic importance of Ghost Launchpad, noting the rapid shift of brands leveraging video games and the creator economy to engage customers. The addition of game development and publishing capabilities complements Resurgens’ existing creator-driven media and live events, positioning the company to better assist both endemic and non-endemic brands integrating into the fastest-growing sector of media and entertainment.

Invest Georgia’s executive director, Knox Massey, highlighted the economic opportunities Ghost Launchpad presents for Georgians to create and publish their own video games, reinforcing the state’s commitment to fostering growth in the gaming industry.

Ghost Launchpad will utilize Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), a cutting-edge tool that enables developers to create and publish original interactive content rapidly. This technology significantly reduces the time from game concept to launch, allowing for faster iteration and release cycles. The accelerator will operate from Resurgens’ Atlanta headquarters and be led by Brian Grayson, former Vice President at Hi-Rez Studios, who recognizes UEFN as a disruptive game creation tool and Fortnite as an emerging publishing platform.

Founded in 2019 by Todd Harris and Nabil Ismail, Resurgens Gaming connects brands with gaming audiences through an integrated, community-driven approach. Ghost Launchpad complements Resurgens’ existing offerings, including Skillshot, a comprehensive live events and livestream production partner, and Ghost Gaming, a community-driven organization supporting professional gamers and content creators across popular titles like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Valorant, and Rocket League.

Resurgens also partners with Resurgens Center, managing over 100,000 square feet of experiential and production space in Metro Atlanta. The company has achieved significant milestones recently, including delivering over one billion media views for brand partners, signing 85 gaming creators, amassing 37 million followers across social media, and completing a $5 million media and livestream production venue build-out.
