Square Enix’s Web3 game Symbiogenesis was originally scheduled for discontinuation in July 2025. However, Sony has announced that the game will expand to its emerging Soneium blockchain, marking the first major publisher’s Web3 title to join this new platform. This strategic move underscores Sony’s vision of Soneium as a collaborative ecosystem where game studios and entertainment companies can innovate and connect with a new generation of creators and players.
