3i G10 Plus Robot Vacuum Innovates with Dust Compaction and UV Sterilization
The 3i G10 Plus robot vacuum introduces dust compaction technology that stores up to 60 days of debris in a 950ml dustbin without a self-empty dock. It features UV sterilization, AI-powered navigation, obstacle avoidance, and smart mopping with carpet detection. Priced at $399, it offers advanced cleaning with less maintenance.
Robot vacuums have evolved beyond simple vacuuming and mopping. The latest innovation gaining traction is dust compaction technology, which mechanically compresses dust and debris inside the dustbin to maximize capacity and reduce how often users need to empty it. This feature, once unique to models like the Roomba 205 DustCompactor Combo, is now appearing in competitors such as 3i's new G10 Plus.
The 3i G10 Plus stands out with a mechanical paddle that compacts debris during cleaning, allowing its 950ml dustbin to hold up to 60 days’ worth of dirt. Unlike many robot vacuums, it does not require a self-emptying dock, only a charging station, simplifying the setup and reducing costs.
To address hygiene concerns with long-term debris storage, the G10 Plus incorporates a built-in UV light that sterilizes the dustbin contents, preventing bacteria and odors from developing over time. This is a thoughtful addition that enhances user health and comfort.
Beyond dust compaction, the G10 Plus offers advanced cleaning capabilities. It uses lidar navigation and AI-powered obstacle avoidance to map rooms precisely and avoid objects. Its camera can recognize over 100 object types, enabling automatic adjustments in suction power and water flow based on floor soil levels.
Smart mopping features include an ultrasonic sensor that detects carpets and lifts the mop 0.4 inches to prevent wetting the carpet. This edge-to-edge cleaning is enhanced by an extendable brush and powerful 18,000 pascals suction, ensuring thorough dirt removal.
Expected to retail at $499 with an introductory price of $399 on Amazon starting May 29, the 3i G10 Plus combines innovative dust management, sterilization, and intelligent cleaning technology into a competitively priced robot vacuum. This model exemplifies how IoT devices are becoming smarter and more user-friendly, reducing maintenance while improving hygiene and cleaning efficiency.
