Wacom Unveils Sleek New Cintiq Tablets with Enhanced Displays

Wacom has launched a refreshed generation of its popular Cintiq pen display tablets, introducing a sleeker, more modern design that significantly enhances portability and user comfort. These updates make the mid-tier Cintiq models more appealing to both hobbyists and entry-level creatives seeking professional-grade tools without the premium price tag.

The new lineup includes two main sizes: a 16-inch model priced at $699.95 and a 24-inch model at $1,299.95, slightly larger than its predecessor. Additionally, Wacom introduced the Cintiq 24 Touch at $1,499.95, which supports multi-finger gestures like zooming and rotating, a feature previously reserved for higher-end models.

One of the most striking changes is the design overhaul. The tablets now feature a bezel-free look with squared corners, moving away from the rounded edges of previous generations. The thickness has been dramatically reduced: the Cintiq 16 is now just 15mm thick, down from 25mm, while the 24-inch models measure under 21mm compared to the older 40mm thickness. The larger 24-inch models come with an adjustable stand for flexible positioning. All models support VESA mounts, allowing users to attach their own stands or arms for customized setups.

Each tablet ships with the Wacom Pro Pen 3, the same advanced stylus used in Wacom’s premium Movink and Cintiq Pro lines. This pen offers customizable grip and button options, delivering a versatile and precise drawing experience that adapts to individual workflows.

Connectivity has been simplified by replacing the older 3-in-1 cables with separate ports for HDMI, USB-C, and power. Notably, the Cintiq 16 can now operate solely via a single USB-C to USB-C connection without needing an additional power source, enhancing portability and reducing cable clutter.
