Salesforce has quietly acquired Moonhub, a startup focused on AI-powered talent vetting and hiring automation. While the financial terms remain undisclosed, the entire Moonhub team based in Menlo Park is joining Salesforce, which was also an early investor in the company.

Moonhub’s CEO, Nanxy Xu, highlighted shared values between the two companies, emphasizing customer trust and a strong belief in AI’s role in unlocking global innovation and opportunity. Founded in 2022 by Xu, a former Meta engineer, Moonhub offers AI tools that help companies recruit, evaluate, and hire candidates more efficiently.

Moonhub’s AI capabilities include automatically identifying suitable candidates, reaching out to them, and assisting with onboarding and payroll management. This end-to-end automation addresses critical pain points in HR workflows, making recruitment faster and more scalable.

The acquisition fits into Salesforce’s broader AI expansion strategy. Just recently, Salesforce completed an $8 billion acquisition of Informatica, a data management company, and acquired Convergence.ai, an automation startup, to enhance its AI product portfolio.

Moonhub has raised $14.4 million from investors including Khosla Ventures, GV, and Salesforce itself. Its customer base includes hundreds of companies, among them Fortune 500 enterprises, underscoring the growing demand for AI-driven hiring solutions.
