Ploopy, a Canadian company renowned for its customizable open-source peripherals, has unveiled an upgraded version of its Classic trackball mouse, the Ploopy Classic 2. This new iteration maintains the familiar shape and ergonomics of its predecessor but introduces several enhancements that elevate its functionality and user experience.

One of the most notable upgrades is the transition from a USB-B port to a USB-C connection. Initially, Ploopy opted for USB-B due to its mechanical strength, but after extensive testing with other products, the company found USB-C to be equally reliable.
