It is also available through OpenAI’s developer API, priced at $20 per million input tokens and $80 per million output tokens. To put this in perspective, a million input tokens roughly equate to 750,000 words — longer than the entire novel "War and Peace."

What sets o3-pro apart is its enhanced clarity, comprehensiveness, and instruction-following capabilities. Expert reviewers consistently prefer it over its predecessor across categories like science, education, programming, business, and writing assistance.
