OnePlus has officially launched the Pad 3, marking its first global tablet powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This new device upsizes its predecessor with a 13.2-inch LCD display boasting a stunning 3.4K resolution and an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Despite packing this power and a larger screen, the Pad 3 impresses with an ultra-thin profile of just 5.97mm, making it slimmer than the latest iPad Air.

While the display is LCD rather than OLED, the combination of high resolution and refresh rate delivers a vibrant and fluid viewing experience ideal for media consumption, gaming, and productivity. The Pad 3 runs on Android 15 and supports accessories like a keyboard and stylus (sold separately), positioning it as a compelling laptop replacement for users seeking flexibility and performance on the go.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with a 16GB RAM option available in Europe. The device is powered by a robust 12,140mAh battery, capable of fast 80W wired charging that can fully recharge the tablet in about 90 minutes. This ensures extended usage without sacrificing portability.

OnePlus has also refined the Pad 3’s design by replacing the previous circular rear camera module with a sleek pill-shaped one positioned in the corner, enhancing the tablet’s aesthetic appeal. The device is available exclusively in Storm Blue, offering a unique look that stands out in the tablet market.

Software-wise, OnePlus has enhanced its multitasking capabilities with streamlined split-screen functionality and smoother drag-and-drop features. Integration with OnePlus phones allows for direct file sharing, smarter notification syncing, and efficient data sharing that lets the tablet piggyback on the phone’s connection only when needed, optimizing battery life.

Additionally, the inclusion of O Plus Connect software enables effortless wireless file transfers between the Pad 3 and Mac or Windows PCs. Mac users gain an extra edge with the ability to remotely control their Mac directly from the tablet, further enhancing the Pad 3’s potential as a versatile laptop alternative.

OnePlus has committed to providing three generations of operating system updates and six years of security support for the Pad 3, ensuring longevity and security for users. The tablet is now available for preorder with pricing starting at $699.99 for the 12GB RAM model, with the 16GB variant available in Europe for €699.

Accessories include the Smart Keyboard priced at $199.99 and the Stylo 2 stylus at $99.99, both enhancing productivity and creative workflows on the Pad 3. With its impressive specs, refined design, and thoughtful software integration, the OnePlus Pad 3 stands out as a powerful, portable, and versatile tablet option for tech enthusiasts and professionals alike.
