Kia EV6 2025 Model Sees Price Increase and Design Updates

Kia has announced a price increase for its popular EV6 model for the 2025 model year. The base model will start at $42,900, reflecting a $300 increase from the previous year. The GT model, in particular, will see a significant price hike of $2,200, bringing its cost to $63,800. These changes come amidst broader industry challenges, including tariff uncertainties.

The new EV6 models feature a refreshed design, including a 'Star Map' grille and distinctive daytime running lights. These updates align the EV6's aesthetics with Kia's other models, such as the EV9 and EV3, the latter of which has recently received a Red Dot design award.

A notable upgrade is the increase in battery capacity. The standard battery pack now ranges from 58 to 63 kWh, while the long-range version expands from 77.4 to 84 kWh. This enhancement boosts the driving range to 319 miles for rear-wheel drive models, although official EPA estimates are pending.

In terms of production, most of the new EV6 models, excluding the GT version, are now assembled in the United States at Kia's West Point, Georgia plant. This move is part of Kia's strategy to adapt to changing market conditions and manufacturing efficiencies.

The interior of the 2025 EV6 also sees updates, including a new steering wheel design and upgraded infotainment software, enhancing the overall driving experience. These changes reflect Kia's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction in the competitive electric vehicle market.
