Fortnite players are about to experience the thrilling conclusion of the Star Wars season with the Death Star Sabotage event, launching on June 7, 2025, at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT). This unique, one-time-only event offers a cinematic, on-the-rails adventure that diverges from the usual battle royale gameplay.

Players will find the event in Fortnite’s Discover section once they log in, including those using the Apple App Store. The event immerses participants in iconic Star Wars battles, featuring Stormtrooper skins, sabotage missions inside the Death Star, tie-fighter dogfights, and defense against Star Destroyers.

Starting June 3, players who log in will receive a special loading screen and Captain Phasma's personal melee weapon as a teaser reward. This builds anticipation for the event and rewards early engagement.

Unlike regular Fortnite matches, this event is a one-time experience with strict timing. Players must log in promptly to participate, as the event will not be replayable. Twitch users can link their accounts to Epic Games to earn extra prizes during related Twitch events.

For those unable to join, the event will be widely streamed online, allowing fans to watch the cinematic conclusion of the Star Wars season. Following the event, Fortnite will temporarily go offline to reboot for the upcoming summer season.

Epic Games’ Star Wars crossover has been praised as one of the most successful IP collaborations, blending immersive gameplay with beloved franchise elements. The Death Star Sabotage event promises to be a memorable finale that leverages cinematic storytelling to deepen player engagement.
