Epic Games is significantly expanding the creative possibilities within Unreal Editor in Fortnite (UEFN), unveiling a rich lineup of new intellectual-property assets and innovative tools at Unreal Fest 2025. This move empowers creators to craft more immersive and diverse experiences within Fortnite’s vibrant ecosystem.

Starting June 27, coinciding with the finale of the hit Netflix series Squid Game, creators will gain access to official Squid Game assets in UEFN. This addition opens new storytelling avenues inspired by the show’s intense and dramatic themes.

Looking ahead to next year, Epic plans to introduce features, templates, and assets from the beloved animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, allowing creators to channel the elemental magic and rich lore of that universe into their Fortnite creations.

Star Wars content is also slated for a future release, enabling players to tell their own stories within the iconic galaxy far, far away. This addition follows the recent introduction of an AI-powered Darth Vader character in Fortnite, which responds dynamically to player conversations.

A standout feature is the new Persona Device, which allows creators to build their own responsive AI characters. This tool democratizes AI integration, letting developers craft interactive NPCs that react intelligently to player input, enhancing immersion and gameplay depth.

Epic’s commitment to supporting creators extends beyond IP assets. The Epic Digital Assistant, an AI-powered coding helper for Verse—the programming language of UEFN—is now available in beta. This assistant streamlines development by generating code snippets from natural language prompts, reducing barriers for creators.

Additionally, the upcoming Lego Brick Editor launching on June 17 introduces 50 classic bricks in 42 colors, enabling creators to build islands brick-by-brick with unprecedented detail and customization.

Since UEFN’s launch in 2023, the platform has seen tremendous engagement, with players spending over 11.2 billion hours across 260,000 user-created islands. Creators have earned approximately $722 million, underscoring the platform’s robust creator economy.

By integrating popular IPs and advanced AI tools, Epic Games is not only enriching Fortnite’s creative landscape but also empowering a new generation of developers to push the boundaries of interactive content. Whether you’re a seasoned creator or just starting out, these updates offer exciting new ways to engage players and monetize your work.
