OpenAI has introduced a significant enhancement to ChatGPT, enabling it to remember past conversations without users needing to manually save them. Previously, ChatGPT's memory was limited to user-saved queries and prompts. The rollout of this feature is currently limited to users subscribed to ChatGPT's $200 monthly Pro plan, with plans to extend availability to $20 Plus subscribers and Team, Enterprise, and Edu users in the coming weeks. However, due to stringent AI regulations, this update will not be available in the EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.

For users concerned about privacy, ChatGPT offers the option to disable memory through personalization settings or use a temporary chat function that does not retain conversation data. This flexibility ensures that users can control how their data is used while benefiting from enhanced AI capabilities.
