Leo Matlock, Blast’s Chief Business Officer, will relocate from Copenhagen to lead the new office, focusing on building a local team and strengthening relationships with major US-based game developers and entertainment partners. This expansion complements Blast’s existing global footprint and supports its ambitious plan to host 15 arena events across five continents by the end of the year.
The New York office will serve as a hub for organizing several high-profile esports events in the US, including the FNCS Pro-Am Los Angeles, the Blast.tv Austin Major, and the RLCS Raleigh Major. These events highlight Blast’s dedication to fostering esports fandom and delivering top-tier live experiences in the American market.
Blast has a proven track record of collaborating with leading game publishers such as Ubisoft, Epic Games, Valve, and Riot Games, as well as global brands like Nike, TikTok, and NASCAR. Their expertise spans live tournaments and broadcast productions, making them a key player in the esports ecosystem worldwide.
In addition to the US expansion, Blast plans to open an office in Mumbai before the end of the year, furthering its global expansion strategy. This dual expansion effort underscores the company’s vision to be a dominant force in esports across multiple key markets.
