Arc Launches Affordable Electric Center Console Boat with Advanced Battery Tech
Electric boat startup Arc introduces the Arc Coast, a center console model priced at $168,000, making electric boating more accessible. Powered by a 226kWh battery, it offers 4-5 hours of runtime and speeds up to 50 mph. Seating up to 10 passengers, the Coast features a spacious layout and advanced software displays. Shipping begins in 2026, marking Arc’s continued push to electrify watercraft with sustainable, high-performance vessels.
Electric boat startup Arc is making waves with its newest model, the Arc Coast, which is the company’s most affordable and approachable watercraft to date. Priced at $168,000, the Coast is a center console boat designed primarily for fishing and recreational use. This model represents Arc’s third offering, following the high-end Arc One and Arc Sport models, and is set to ship in 2026 with preorders already underway.
The Arc Coast is powered by the same robust 226kWh battery pack used in the Arc Sport, delivering impressive endurance and performance. Depending on usage, the battery can provide four to five hours of runtime or more, with the boat capable of reaching speeds up to 50 miles per hour thanks to its 400-horsepower motor. The design accommodates up to 10 passengers, making it suitable for group outings on the water.
Unlike the Arc Sport, the Coast features a center console layout, positioning the helm in the middle of the boat. This design enhances mobility around the edges, providing a more open and versatile space for activities like fishing. The boat maintains the high-quality fit and finish characteristic of Arc’s lineup, complemented by minimalist yet information-rich software displays on the console screens.
Arc’s commitment to electrifying watercraft extends beyond recreational boats. The company recently announced development of an electric tug boat for the Port of Los Angeles, underscoring its ambition to transform marine transportation with sustainable electric solutions. The Coast’s advantages over traditional gas boats include zero emissions, reduced noise, and no need for winterization, appealing to environmentally conscious consumers despite the premium price point.
As electric boating gains momentum, Arc’s introduction of the Coast model represents a significant step toward broader adoption by offering a more accessible price and user-friendly design. The integration of advanced battery technology and smart software interfaces positions Arc as a leader in the emerging electric marine market, paving the way for cleaner, quieter, and more efficient watercraft.
