Apple Plans Staggered iPhone Releases to Introduce Foldable Model in 2026

Apple is set to change its iPhone release strategy in 2026 to introduce its first foldable iPhone model alongside premium devices, according to reports from The Information. This shift aims to streamline the growing iPhone lineup and manage product launches more effectively.

The foldable iPhone will debut with the iPhone 18 Pro and “Air” models in fall 2026, while the standard iPhone 18 release is postponed to spring 2027. The foldable model is expected to feature a book-style design with a 5.7-inch display when closed and an almost 8-inch screen when opened.
