Anthropic first introduced stronger safety measures in May with its AI Safety Level 3 protections tied to the Claude Opus 4 release. These safeguards aim to make the model harder to jailbreak and to reduce the risk of it assisting in dangerous CBRN workflows.
The update also addresses growing concerns about agentic capabilities—features that let Claude take direct actions.
